A Little About Me...
I’m a researcher and teacher of marketing with a passion for developing and disseminating knowledge, collaborating with businesses and non-profit organizations, and positively impacting lives. As an associate professor of marketing at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, I teach digital marketing, social media marketing, marketing research, and promotion strategy.
Before joining the faculty at Texas State, I earned my Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington and served as an assistant professor at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. I hold a B.S. in marketing from the University of New Orleans and an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University.
Prior to pursuing my Ph.D., I worked as a full-time instructor at Southeastern Louisiana University for three years, teaching principles of marketing, public relations, and advertising. Additionally, I have five years of real-world business experience in B2B and B2C environments. For three years, I worked as the Marketing Coordinator for Standard Coffee Service Company, one of the largest service companies in the U.S. with over 60,000 customers. I also worked in the marketing department of a regional health care provider for two years, collaborating with a team of marketing strategists, an in-house print shop, and outside vendors to produce high quality marketing collateral and point-of-service materials, as well as digital media.
I’m originally from New Orleans, LA, and enjoy spending time traveling, biking, and playing with my rescue dogs.
